Ovamba is a USA founded online platform that connects micro, small and medium sized [“MSMEs”] businesses in Cameroon with short-term funding.
Launched in 2013, Ovamba was created to address the funding gap left by the formal banking sector and Micro-Finance Institutions [MFIs] in Cameroon. At present, this gap alienates the majority of Cameroon’s economic machine, MSMEs, because business owners are unable to access financing. To change this, Ovamba connects institutional lenders with business and delivers capital faster with favourable terms than its competitors, including via a mobile app.
